Insurance at No Cost
One of the benefits of being a member of NBA Credit
Union is that you are eligible for $1,000 of Accidental
Death and Dismemberment Insurance at no cost to you!
This is simply a benefit of being a member of the Credit
Union and is another way in which we try to help you
meet your financial needs. In addition to the $1,000
benefit provided by the Credit Union, you are also eligible
to purchase additional insurance if you wish to. When
you purchase additional insurance, you also receive
several additional benefits including an Anti-Inflation
Benefit, Child Education Benefit, Day Care Benefit and
Hospital Indemnity Benefit. Coverage is also available
for your spouse and children under the Family Plan.
Insurance coverage is underwritten by The Hartford.
If you’ve never enrolled for coverage under this plan,
you should have received information in the mail a week
or so ago with information on enrolling with details on
plan limitations and exclusions. While this is a benefit
of being a Credit Union member, you must return the
enrollment form you receive in order to be covered.
If you enrolled in the program in the past, you should
have received a statement showing your present level
of coverage and whether or not your family is also
insured. This also provides you with an opportunity
to update your beneficiary designation if you wish.
